MG, you should tell us about the time you were in Germany and fell 40 feet off a cliff. Scary ! Do you have ptsd from that?
MG - Okay so I was not in Germany, but when I was 18, just freshly graduated from high school, I decided to take a little trip with my friends to Havasupai, and Indian reservation in Arizona. You have to hike a million miles to get down in there, will all your stuff. I'd been before. This time was special though, because this time, I almost died. While scaling the canyon walls of the river in between 2 between 2 beautiful waterfalls with my friend Danielle, my feet slipped out away from the jutting rocks, and I fell to the river below. On a rock, about 35 feet down. As I was falling, I looked at Danielle, with an 'Oh fuck, what is happening look?!!!" She had the same look on her face. I heard Danielle scream. I landed with a big flat thud on my left side, my feet crumpled, then my legs all the way to my head. Dizziness....then reality. I thought I should try to get up, and the pain that shot through my hip was incredible, unexpected. I started crying, I knew I messed up. I yelled out for help. Danielle was trying to figure out a way down to the river from the bank above - some guys swimming in the river ahead of me walked over. I think they went to get help from the camp sites nearby, I don't know. But a nurse, who happened to be camping there, came to me, and helped me calm down. The Indian tribe called for medical, and a helicopter came down the canyon to whisk me away. All my friends/onlookers/gawkers helped carry me in a stretcher, for a mile, to where the helicopter could land. I had to pee really bad, I thought I was going to explode. I was taken to a hospital in Flagstaff I think. They took care of the pee emergency, and then there were a few hours of excruciating pain while x rays were taken. After that they injected me with Morphine, and the next week was a peaceful slumber. Some people came in and out, I don't remember who though. I had broken my arm, my hip, and my ankle. Then my lucky parents drove to Flagstaff and picked me up. I rode in the back of the car holding a catheter, ahh the memories. When we got back home, I spent another week in the hospital, and then another 2 months in a wheelchair. Breaking bones hurts!!! And that's what happened to me. And I think someone looks out for me, guess it wasn't my turn to die afterall.
MG again - Come see us at Springfest!! The biggest SLC bellydance show all year - everyone else will be there ;)
Shasha- Well well well. How about some fucking spacer breaks? HUH?! j/k har har
